Supported Care is designed for elders who require some assistance, but who may be wheelchair bound and minimally cognitively impaired. The first of the three interlinking buildings, Brentleigh House is home to Brenthurst residents requiring support with activities of daily living.
These residents are usually unable to live completely independently, requiring assistance with daily activities (like bathing and dressing). They enjoy support in their day-to-day, with meals, cleaning, laundry, medication management and private transportation being arranged by manager.
This ensures that dignity is maintained, and Elders are empowered to live as independently as possible.
Each resident is treated as the individual that they are. Whatever the cause of their need for Supported Care, they are given every opportunity to maintain their privacy and freedom. With this approach, residents are provided the perfect level of care to help them flourish within their need parameters.
